A Monster's Expedition is a relaxing adventure game where you will play a monster that will be exploring a large map in order to better understand the history and meaning of humanity. In this open-world puzzle, you’ll find hundreds of islands with dig sights and exhibits — not unlike what you would find in a museum.

The mechanics for A Monster's Expedition are simple. Players will simply need to find a way to cross onto the next island by rolling logs toward the area with the smallest gap between the islands. You’ll have to be mindful of the obstacles — and the size of your log — along the way though. Although all of this seems very clean-cut, the puzzles can be much more challenging than one might think.
This game also makes use of some colorful and adorable 3D visuals that make it much more interesting and easier to approach, especially for younger players. With over 100 unique islands and different weather conditions, you can easily immerse yourself in the gameplay. There are even some secrets that you can uncover on certain islands that can add depth to the humorous and entertaining artifacts that you’ll find.
One thing to note, however, is that the game does lack quite a bit in terms of tutorials and explanations. There are certain actions that you can miss and think you’re unable to do unless you explore all of the controls available on your device. Moreover, completing the entire game and exploring all of the available islands can take an excruciating amount of time, as well.
Time-consuming but packed with fun
Although A Monster's Expedition can be a handful to deal with if you plan on completing the game as soon as possible, the numerous secrets to uncover and the adorable graphics make it worth spending hours of your time on. The tricky puzzles add a sense of accomplishment, as well, once you figure out the right solution to make it onto the next island in your little adventure.
